Born in Chile and shaped by years of living across different countries, I have spent my life moving between disciplines while remaining anchored in making and storytelling. I was first introduced to ceramics during high school, where working with clay became an early way of understanding form, material, and patience—an experience that stayed with me as my path expanded.

I have always been a storyteller, whether through words, visual media, or three-dimensional objects. I studied journalism with the intention of documenting human experience and later spent over a decade in Los Angeles working as an entertainment journalist, interviewing artists and cultural figures for television, magazines, and newspapers. I hold a BA in Spanish and an Associate in Arts degree in Photography, and worked as a photo editor for several international photo agencies.

I later attended pastry school and became a pastry chef, drawn again to a hands-on craft rooted in process and discipline. Working extensively with fondant—often treating it much like clay—deepened my understanding of form, balance, and material behavior, lessons that continue to inform my work across mediums.

During the pandemic, I returned more fully to ceramics as part of a broader studio practice. Influenced by wabi-sabi, my work values restraint, subtle variation, and the quiet presence of the handmade.

I am based in Los Angeles and work as a full-time ceramicist. I am also the author of two books currently in revision, a mother to two boys, a devoted dog lover, and an avid gardener.
